At Outdoor Adventure Training, we place a high value on real, personal connection. While our programs are thoughtfully structured, your experience should never feel automated or hands-off. The primary way we support you as an individual is through direct, one-on-one messaging with your trainer.
How Messaging Works
Inside the OAT Fit App, you can message your trainer at any time by tapping on their profile photo in the bottom right corner of the screen. This opens a direct conversation where you can ask questions, share feedback, or let us know what’s going on in your training or day-to-day life.
Messaging is the best and most reliable way to get meaningful support from us.

About Automated Messages
Throughout your program, you’ll receive a small number of automated messages. These are not AI-generated and they are not random. They’re placed intentionally at key checkpoints in the program to make sure you’re getting important information, understand what’s coming next, and have a chance to check in.
Think of these messages as conversation starter to reach out when you need support or feedback.
Messages vs. Workout Comments
Comments at the end of workouts are a great place to share quick notes like how a session felt, your energy level, or whether something felt easier or harder than expected. We review these regularly and use them to track trends over time.
Messaging your trainer is best if you:
- Have a specific question
- Are dealing with pain or discomfort
- Need an adjustment to your program
- Want direct feedback or guidance
If something feels important or time-sensitive, don’t rely on workout comments – send us a message!
Response Time & Availability
We check messages daily unless we’re off the grid on an adventure. When that’s the case, you’ll always know ahead of time. Most of the time, you can expect a response within 24 hours, often sooner.
We work with athletes across multiple time zones, and messaging helps us stay organized and respond thoughtfully.
A Quick Reassurance
Don’t ever feel like you’re bothering us or asking too much. This is a personal training program, and communication is a key part of what makes it effective. Your questions and feedback help us coach you better.
If you’re unsure whether something is worth messaging about, it probably is!
