How to Connect Garmin to OAT Fit

OAT Fit App · Integrations

Your Garmin,
In Sync.

Connecting your Garmin pulls your activities, sleep, heart rate, and daily stats straight into the OAT Fit App — so your training plan and your real-world output live in one place. Your coach sees the full picture, and you get credit for every mile. The whole thing takes about two minutes.

Before You Begin

You’ll need your Garmin account login handy. The connection is made on your phone, inside the OAT Fit App — and only you can link your own Garmin account.

Connect Garmin in the App

  1. 1

    Open Your Profile

Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the app.

  2. 2

    Find Garmin Connect

Scroll down to Garmin Connect and tap Connect.

  3. 3

    Sign In to Garmin

Enter your Garmin account login. This authorizes the connection — your credentials go to Garmin, not to OAT.

  4. 4

    Allow Your Data

Turn on Activities and Daily Health Stats. We recommend also allowing Historical Data so past efforts come across. Then tap Agree.

  5. 5

    Let It Sync

You’ll see a “Syncing in background” message. That’s it — you’re connected. The first sync pulls in about two weeks of history, so give it a little longer to finish.

First Sync Takes a Minute

The initial sync brings in roughly two weeks of data and can take a little longer than usual. Once it’s caught up, new activities and stats appear in the app within a few minutes.

What Your Coach Sees

Once your data is syncing, it shows up on your calendar and dashboard — steps, sleep, resting heart rate, caloric burn, body weight, and body fat. Your OAT coach uses this to see how you’re recovering and responding to training, so they can adjust your plan around your real life, not a guess.

Still Not Syncing?

Give the first sync a little time to finish. If data still isn’t coming through, message your coach right inside the OAT Fit App and we’ll get it sorted.
