We hold your information to the same standard we hold the backcountry. Take only what
you need, look after what you carry, and leave the rest alone. This page explains what
we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
We collect the information it takes to run your program, bill your membership, and answer your messages.
We don’t sell your personal information, run advertising on our site, or use ad-tracking pixels.
Your training and health details stay with the coaches who work with you, and they’re never used for marketing.
When you visit our website or use the app, we receive standard technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location based on IP address, and the pages you view. Section 05 covers how this works.
We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t build profiles of you to sell or share with anyone.
Like most small businesses, we use a range of software to run OAT, including some AI-assisted tools for things like proofreading and site design. Your coaching always comes from OAT coaches.
Coaching works best when you tell us about the knee that flares up on descents or the surgery you had two years ago. We know that information is personal, so we treat it with extra care.
Your training and health details are seen only by OAT coaches. We use them to coach you and for nothing else. They are never used for marketing or shared for anyone else’s purposes.
OAT provides fitness coaching, not medical care. We are not a healthcare provider, and the information you share with us isn’t covered by health privacy laws like HIPAA. We protect it anyway, following the practices on this page.
We keep your account and training information while your membership is active, and for a period afterward so you can pick up where you left off if you come back. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll remove your information.
Some records stay longer because the law requires them. Payment and tax records, for example, are kept for as long as accounting rules require.
Our site runs on encrypted connections, card details are handled entirely by Stripe, and access to member information is limited to the people who need it to support you. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly and explain what we’re doing about it.
Our programs are for adults 18 and older, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we’ll remove the account.
OAT is based in Ashland, Oregon. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. If you join from outside the US, your information will be handled as this policy describes.
When we update this policy, we change the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use your information in a meaningful way, we’ll email members before it takes effect.
Questions about this policy or your information go straight to our team.
